| The hammer is a commander style with oval window cut out, but leaves extra material around the outer edges to assure the hammer will not fracture with hard use like frail competition designs do. | The hammer is precision EDM cut from tool steel, heat treated, and features .023" hammer hooks for positive and reliable sear engagement. When this hammer is properly installed by a competent gunsmith, and the pistol is operated correctly, the hammer will not unexpectedly fall to half cock. Precision matching of the EDM cut sear to the hammer still gives a crisp, clean let off, even with longer, safer, and more reliable hammer hooks.
